This is a vintage Noritake Morimura marked Art Deco era cake plate. It has a hand painted green band around the rim with four segments of black and white stripes and red and yellow flowers in a medallion. The plate has self handles, with faded gold trim on the rim and handles. The plate is 9 3/4" wide across the handles. There are no chips or cracks. The green backstamp has an M in a wreath and the words Noritake Handpainted Japan. This mark was used between 1920-1940. The plate is in excellent condition, only flaw is the trim wear.
