his is a Depression era black glass vase made by Paden City. The vase is 8 1/8" tall, about 5 1/4" wide at the widest point, and 3 1/2" deep back to front at the widest point. There is faded gold paint with a stripe at the top and the outlines of a floral design that used to be there. The glass is a dark red when held to a strong light, not purple. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, but as already mentioned the paint is faded. The white wing shaped line in the photos is a reflection of the counter bouncing up to the vase.
