This is an antique Westmoreland Cupid & Psyche pattern embossed figural plate with a highly detailed reticulated lace edge on the rim. The Cupid and Psyche figures in the center and the rim were originally painted, there is some of the original brown-gold paint remaining. The plate is not marked or signed. It is 7 3/8" wide. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Westmoreland originally made this design around 1900, then they reissued it in the 1950s. I believe this is one of the earlier plates.
